Von StriplingIn most golf tournaments – junior or otherwise – having one playoff for first place is exciting. At Moultrie's Sunset Country Club the last Saturday of May, there were two playoffs to determine the winner in each of two age divisions on this leg of the Red Hills Junior Tour.

Double the suspense, double the excitement.

After local junior Von Stripling won the 15-16 Boys handily with a nice 76, both the Boys 13-14 and Boys 11-12 divisions came down to playoffs.

Henry Westmoreland (Wacissa) and Dawson Armstrong (Valdosta) finished  regular play with 77.

Westmoreland won the sudden death playoff with a long par putt on the first playoff hole.

Carter Thompson and Bennett Baker (both of Tallahassee) shot 80 during regular play.  Both were in trouble on the first playoff hole but Thompson hung on to win the match.
